Elements Diocesan Learning Trust is newly formed and developing Multi Academy Trust. An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and innovative qualified Accountant with highly developed financial acumen and strategic vision to be our Trust’s Chief Finance Officer.

In this role, the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will be a pivotal member of the executive team and advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CFO will have overall responsibility for the financial management of the Trust and its four academies and for supporting the CEO in the strategic development, operation, and growth of our Trust. Our newly appointed CEO is a true educationalist with extensive knowledge of the education sector and was Headteacher at one of Elements Diocesan Learning Trust’s founder schools.

As well as leading on ESFA reporting, third party returns and audit activity, you will utilise benchmarking, analysis, and your own extensive experience to ensure the financial stability and sustainability of the Trust.

Experience of managing in multi-site context would be beneficial as well as being able to demonstrate the added value a Finance function can provide to meet the business objectives of our Trust.

Joining a small central team, we are looking for someone who is comfortable completing administrative activities right through to being a leader in the Trust. This ensures that the role is variable with fantastic opportunities to make a difference across the Trust.

Who are Elements Diocesan Learning Trust?

We are a registered Charitable Company consisting of four Dudley schools, Christ Church CofE Primary school, Church of the Ascension CofE Primary School, Pedmore CofE Primary School and St Mary’s CofE Primary school totalling 1300 pupils. A central team provides both leadership and operational support.

We are entering a phase of investment to support our growth which aims for us to grow to be at least 3000 pupils within the next three years.

Our vision has been developed to enable the coming together of like-minded Primary Schools in Dudley – schools that are separate, discrete elements that choose to coalesce as a cohesive whole to speak with one shared voice in education for the Borough.
